GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 156830
Embedded fonts does not show correctly
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Please describe the problem: I have made a PDF from an OpenOffice.org document which GNOME GhostView and Acrobat Reader handles pretty well, but GNOME PDF Viewer does not show the letters if the chosen font is "Bitstream Vera Sans". Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a OpenOffice.org writer document using the Bitstream Vera Sans font 2. Export to PDF 3. Open the PDF in GNOME PDF Viewer Actual results: I get the first page of the document showing me boxes and a few numbers instead of the text. Expected results: I would get the first page of the document showing exactly as in OpenOffice.org or a printed paper. Does this happen every time? Yes Other information: I'm using Fedora Core 2.

Created attachment 33213 [details] The embedded image. The OpenOffice.org file contains an embedded image. Here it is.
Created attachment 33214 [details] The SVG version of the image This is probably not relevant, but I'll post it anyway - just in case.
Works in GPdf 2.8.0. You're using gpdf 0.131 I guess. 2.8.0 will most likely come with Fedora Core 3. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 148362 ***
