Introduce alsasink device="hw:0" in your gconf audiosink key
Launch totem and open a stream.

The error is :

(totem:29858): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid cast from `GstAlsaMixerOptions'
to `GstAlsaMixerTrack'
totem: simple.c:1178: snd_mixer_selem_get_name: Assertion `elem->type ==
SND_MIXER_ELEM_SIMPLE' failed.
