Package: GnuCash Severity: normal Version: 1.8.8 Synopsis: Crash while changing fields with unbalanced transaction total Bugzilla-Product: GnuCash Bugzilla-Component: General Description: Description of Problem: I had two instances of GnuCash running, one with my existing set of accounts and the other with a blank slate, trying to copy information over into a more sane account layout. I realized that I had entered the balances in one transaction backwards, debit swapped with credit; I went back to that entry, went to the top line (in auto-split ledger mode, if it matters), deleted the balance from the debit field, then hit Tab. I do not remember whether the program then crashed immediately, or if that did not happen until after I entered the same balance in the credit field and hit Tab again. Steps to reproduce the problem: I'm not sure; I've done things superficially similar to this in the past, and no crash has occurred. The only thing I can think of which was different this time was that I had two instances of the program open. Actual Results: Program crashes. Expected Results: Program switches entry focus to the next field and/or line. How often does this happen? It's happened just the once so far, but I prefer to fill out automatic bug report forms rather than ignore them. Additional Information: Nothing I can think of offhand...
