Description bugzilla 2004-09-13 11:30:19 UTC
epiphany crashes on toolbar setup when xorg composite extension enabled (xorg 6.8).
need to set XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS environment variable to 1 to get it working.

bug 150259 has been closed without a solution.
removing composite support is a workaround, not a valid solution.
Comment 3 Christian Persch 2004-09-13 18:41:35 UTC
X.org composite extension breaking apps is a bug in composite extension, IMHO.
Comment 4 bugzilla 2004-09-13 18:51:53 UTC
according to xorg it's not a bug, but the missing variable:

Comment 5 Christian Persch 2004-09-13 19:41:38 UTC
Well, it's breaking backwards compatibility, since you didn't have to set that
var before.
