Description Andrew Sobala 2004-08-28 22:26:31 UTC
I created a file in a remote location and then opened it via sftp in gedit.
Gedit opened it read-only, although it is actually fully writable according to
the file permissions, so I can't edit it in-situ.

This is gedit 2.7.91.

This is not a bug, just a feture not yet implemented (gedit uses gnome-vfs for
reading, but not for writing). Unfortunately it's not trivial... hopefully in
the next dev cycle.
