Description mordecai5 2004-08-27 05:42:24 UTC
1. Open the DIA program.

The splash screen shows and stays on screen, but a DOS error message (see
above) comes up and nothing further happens.

To clarify;

Are you using the dia installer?

Are you using version 0.94-pre1 or 0.94?

Are you using Windows XP, 2000, ME, 98 or 95?

Is dia usable?

First of all, pleae note that I am not the original bug reporter.

Today I installed DIA 0.94 on a windows 2000 machine. I used the windows
installer. On this machine version 0.92.2 was installed.

I got the same "DOS error message" reported by mordecai only the first time I
launched DIA: the program was usable, as far as i can say (I just loaded a file
and modified it).

When I launched DIA again in the same session the error message was not shown
again.

Hope this helps.

I get the Same error message, I am using the windows installer under windows xp
sp2. The program opens and is usable but the error message stays. I used the
dia-setup-0.94 to install dia.

But on a side note I think this program rocks, I am going to install it on my
Linux box, im sure it will run much better in Linux everything else does.

There's a patch to solve this problem, but it hasn't been applied yet.
