Hi,

I'm trying to compile libxml2 because I need it for GNUstep.

I'm on a AIX 5.2 machine with gcc 3.3.2 and gnumake 3.79.1 .

I have the same problem with versions: libxml2 2.6.10 and 2.6.12 .

./configure
gmake all
....
 gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I. -I./include -I./include -D_REENTRANT -g
-O2-Wall -MT nanoftp.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/nanoftp.Tpo -c nanoftp.c -DPIC -o
.libs/nanoftp.o
nanoftp.c: In function `xmlNanoFTPGetConnection':

nanoftp.c:1577: error: structure has no member named `ss_family'
nanoftp.c:1608: error: structure has no member named `ss_family'
nanoftp.c:1645: error: structure has no member named `ss_family'

configure --disable-ipv6

depending on the version of AIX this sometime fails or passes, no idea why
and I don't have ways to debug and reproduce the configure tests on that system
If you have a working patch send it otherwise, WONTFIX.

Fix for __ss_family instead of ss_family

Attached is a possible fix for this problem. It probes for __ss_family and if
found, redefines ss_family to __ss_family.

Based on a fix in Jabber by Albert Chin.
