Description Stéphane Genaud 2004-08-06 12:23:25 UTC
Description of Problem:

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. create a directory and put a file in it
2. change the perms of the directory to 644 (e.g.
dr-wr--r--, no execute means no traversal)

3. Browse the contents of the directory. Nautilus
allows to browse the contents of the directory and
shows the generic gnome icon for each file along
with the filename (Konqueror cuts the problem
refusing access). Right-click on any of these file
icons.

Actual Results:
The file icon disappears.

Expected Results:
A "Permission denied" message and a steady file icon.

How often does this happen?
Always.

Additional Information:
Nautilus 2.6.3
