GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 147140
Pressing space bar crashes GGV when first started
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Distribution: Fedora Core release 2 (Tettnang) Package: GGV Severity: normal Version: GNOME2.6. unspecified Gnome-Distributor: Red Hat, Inc Synopsis: Pressing space bar crashes GGV when first started Bugzilla-Product: GGV Bugzilla-Component: GGV Bugzilla-Version: unspecified BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.6.0) Description: Description of the crash: When using GGV to open a new document, the program crashes if the initial character pressed is the space bar. The error message is simply "The Application 'ggv' has quit unexpectedly.", which opens in a small dialogue box titled "Error". Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. Enter "ggv <pdf_file> &" from console 2. press Space Bar Expected Results: The document to scroll down, or at least for the app to continue functioning. How often does this happen? Every time I open a new document--either from the command line or from Mozilla. Additional Information: After pressing any other functional key, such as left clicking on the mouse or using an arrow key, I am then able to use the space bar without the program exiting. However, if I initially only use the scroll wheel of the mouse and then press space bar, then the program still crashes. GGV version: 2.6.0 Architecture: x86_64 Kernel version: 2.6.5-1.358 Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/ggv' (no debugging symbols found)...Using host libthread_db library "/lib64/tls/libthread_db.so.1".
