Description cgortari 2004-07-09 13:06:01 UTC
Distribution: Fedora Core release 2 (Tettnang)
Package: gnome-panel
Severity: minor
Version: GNOME2.6. 2.6.x
Gnome-Distributor: Red Hat, Inc
Synopsis: crash of change-wallpaper wizard (on thumnbail click)
Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel
Bugzilla-Component: clock applet
Bugzilla-Version: 2.6.x
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.6.0)
Description:
Description of the crash:
i click with the left button on the desktop, then i select "change
desktop background", then I select my prefered background (by clickin on its thumbnail) and the program
crashes. I close it, but then a process related to the thumbs that are
generated in the change-wallpaper wizard consumes all the processor's
work (99% of cpu's use).

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. open the change-wallpaper wizard
2. select a thumbnail with the desired wallpaper
3.

Expected Results:
not to crash the change-wallpaper wizard

How often does this happen?
every time I select a new wallpaper (click on the thumbnail)

Additional Information:
i presume that a secondary process tries to generate thumbnails, but his
father is already died.
