GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 14650
Panel crashes trying to restore configuration
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: panel Severity: normal Version: 1.2.1 Synopsis: Panel crashes trying to restore configuration Class: sw-bug Distribution: Red Hat Linux release 6.2 (Zoot) System: Linux 2.2.14-12 i686 unknown C library: glibc-2.1.3-15 C compiler: egcs-2.91.66 glib: 1.2.8 GTK+: 1.2.8 ORBit: ORBit 0.5.1 gnome-libs: gnome-libs 1.2.1 libxml: 1.8.7 gnome-print: gnome-print-0.20 gnome-core: gnome-core 1.2.1 Description: I cleared out all my gnome-terminal setups. Saved session, then started re-creating my preferred layout. Three gnome terminals on each of the 4 default virtual screens. Given virtual layout: +---+---+ | 1 | 2 | +---+---+ | 3 | 4 | +---+---+ 1-3 each have 3 terminals with geometry 132x42 using the dec terminal font size 14. 4 has 4 terminals, 3 with lucidatypwriter 18 point font and one using the dec terminal 14 point font. While trying to restore the session, 4 windows came up (the wrong size and then the panel crashed). This is the first time I've used bug-buddy, I would have checked to see if this was reported already but I don't know where to look. P.S. The continual interruption by the dialog box that says that the panel didn't respond to the SaveYourself command is annoying. the panel crashed. Debugging information: 0x405a08e9 in __wait4 () from /lib/libc.so.6
