Last modified: 2005-02-12 09:04:24 UTC
Distribution: Debian testing/unstable Package: nautilus Severity: normal Version: GNOME2.6.1 2.6.x Gnome-Distributor: Debian Synopsis: Rename with [F2] problem Bugzilla-Product: nautilus Bugzilla-Component: Keyboardability Bugzilla-Version: 2.6.x Description: Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. open a directory with some files 2. view it as list 3. sort the directory by filename 4. click once on the top file to select it 5. press [F2] 6. rename the file in the way, that it will be the last one (e.g. put 'zz' in front) 7. press [Enter] --> the file is renamed and the list is resorted, the (new) top most file is selected 8. press [F2] to rename this one too Actual Results: the selected file name (highlighted) flickers but you can't rename it. You have to press [F2] a second time. Expected Results: pressing [F2] only once should be enough to rename the file How often does this happen: Hmm, it only happens in some cases. Be sure all files you rename have an extension. E.g. create a directory with 3 (empty) files File[123].txt. Then open it in Nautilus and rename File1.txt to zFile1.txt. This worked for me.
