Description matthew 2004-07-09 00:58:08 UTC
Distribution: Debian testing/unstable
Package: control-center
Severity: normal
Version: GNOME2.6.1 2.6.1
Gnome-Distributor: Debian
Synopsis: gnome-background-properties crashes on exit
Bugzilla-Product: control-center
Bugzilla-Component: background
Bugzilla-Version: 2.6.1
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.6.1.1)
Description:
Description of the crash:
I opened the background properites dialog from the desktop's context
menu. Didn't make any changes. When I closed it, I got the ``This
application has quit unexpectedly'' dialog and chose to inform the
developers :-).

It actually appears to work perfectly, even if changes are made -- it
just /thinks/ it has crashed on exit (the background properites are
changed correctly if I alter them in the dialog box).

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. Right-click desktop and chose ``Change Desktop Background''
2. Close the dialog. (Or make some changes and then close the dialog.)
3. The crash dialog appears.

Expected Results:
I'd expect that the dialog /wouldn't/ crash (especially becuase it
successfuly makes any changes I ask of it) but it does.

How often does this happen?
Always reproducable.

Additional Information:
I am running Debian Sid and the gtk2 wonderland (Bluecurve) engine.
BTW, I think GNOME 2.6 rocks beyond belief -- keep up the amazing work!

This looks like a dup of bug 132450 from the stack trace, but that was marked as
fixed well before Gnome 2.6.x was released. Reassigning to atk...
Comment 2 padraig.obriain 2004-07-09 07:48:06 UTC
I cannot reproduce this using GNOME 2.6.

I am going to close as a duplicate of bug #132450.

You need to take this up with Debian.
