GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 144399
Application "/usr/bin/guile" has crashed due to a fatal error
Last modified: 2018-06-29 20:44:17 UTC
I am having problems creating & editting schedulled transactions. I am too much of a linux newb to assert either a defect in GnuCash or if my data file is corrupt. I think things used to work but ... I am trying to created a new schedulled tx to run every 4 weeks. If I use the editor to add a new tx, put start date, then weekly, then *4 I get a message saying I am creating a tx that will never run. If I then select Friday the whole of GnuCash hangs/locks till I kill guile. So I created the schedulled tx by selecting that option when sitting on an already enetered tx in the register. The summary crash occurs when I go back into the schedulled tx editor to try change from weekly to weekly*4. Am also too much of a newb to check your database for the possible prior reports of this crash - apologies if this is a duplicate, but I am too dumb to RTF anything because I dont know where/what it is I should look for! Will be trying to upgrade to SuSE 9.1 which will bring GnuCash 1.8.8 in the next days which may avoid the problem. I realise 1.8.9 is available but dont have the skills to deploy it if SuSE dont package it for me :-(
Very likely the memory corruption with weekly SXes on pre-1.8.9. Please work within SuSE issue-tracking re: getting 1.8.9 packaged. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 125600 ***
