Description Bill Jarvis 2004-06-09 00:09:29 UTC
open gimp select text tool click font button.
scroll up immediately quits gimp, scrolling down
it works ok until near the bottom (I think it is University(Times?)
that it crashes on.

notes. this is a new installation using the 2.01 windows installer
with gtk+ and ghostscript installed as required.
the default font is said to be Sans.
nothing named Profont is installed.
the suggestion to change the default font to Tahoma is apparently not possible
for in control panel\display\appearance the font size can be changed not
the font type.

the program is installed on a dual boot system (Win98, XP) in different
partitions on the same drive. the machine has 512m of ram.
