GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 141466
Binding terminal to default action on Folders has no way of undoing.
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Right-click on a folder, Open with, Other program... Chose terminal and set it to be default action on Folder objects. This will bring up a terminal when you click a folder. If you go back and remove terminal as the default action you get a "No action associated with Folder"-dialog. I can't find a way to make it open a spatial window again...
That is why the "Open with another program" option has been disabled in the last nautilus (2.8 I think)... The "Open with" tab in the properties window is still there though (and it's bug 152407). So I guess it's still possible to trigger this bug. Anyway, opening a folder with another program seems like a reasonable request (see bug 151747), so a middle-ground solution should be found (e.g. associate folders with nautilus by default and make that impossible to change).

This isn't applicable anymore in 2.8 as long as you can't associate a directory to 'Open With Terminal' in the first place (well you can, but it doesn't take effect). Closing as WONTFIX since this applies to code which isn't there anymore, reopen if I'm wrong.
