GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 140942
Incorrect Speech output when going between layer 1 and 3 keypad mappings
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
1. Start Gnopernicus with speech component active. 2. Using the "Gnopernicus Numeric Keypad Mappings by Layer" Guide, I press "0" to navigate the layer, next I picked layer "1", which is "goto" menubar. 3. The Speech AT reports layer 1 correctly. 4. Next I press "0" and "3" for layer 3 status bar. The Speech At should respond with "layer 3" but instead you get very unpredictable results with output such as "switch window" or top panel, when infact there is not window opened at this time. 4. The speech output is very unperdictable, it speak the items in the menu bar, ie file, view, and so on. But what you get is the title bar name, some
I am not sure you did the right thing to access the 'goto menubar' and 'goto statusbar' commands. These commands are both in Layer 0. To navigate this layer you must 'KP0 KP0' with NumLock key turned on (so you must press numpad key 0 twice). After you switch to layer 0, 'goto menubar' command is mapped on key 9 and 'goto statusbar' command is mappend on key 3. Please read the 'README' file in gnopernicus to see what command is mapped on wich layer/key. Anyway, the unwanted output (i.e. "switch window") occurs because of some unwandet events received by gnopernicus. So I will close this bug as a duplicate of bug 134003.
