GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 140582
Segment error when copying files with Thai encoded filenames
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Distribution: LinuxTLE 5.5 (Samila) Package: nautilus Severity: normal Version: GNOME2.4.0 Sans Gnome-Distributor: GNOME.Org Synopsis: Segment error when copying files with Thai encoded filenames Bugzilla-Product: nautilus Bugzilla-Component: File and Folder Operations Bugzilla-Version: Sans BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.4.0.1) Description: Description of the crash: Copying any number of files which include at least one file with at least one character encoded in Thai will usually perform the copy but terminate in a "segment error". Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. Copy files with names containing Thai charactersfrom one disk to another Expected Results: In the absence of a bug, I expect the files to be copied uneventfully. How often does this happen? Consistently. Additional Information: I believe LinuxTLE (Thai Language Extensions) from opentle.org is using UTF-8 encoding for the filenames. I am using LinuxTLE 5.5 which is based on RedHat and kernel 2.4.22 Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/nautilus' (no debugging symbols found)...Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/libthread_db.so.1".
