A Debian user submitted the following bug:

In the Filter menu, I have enabled the "Show Matching Articles'
Subthreads" option. I also have disabled the "Match read articles" option.
In the previous version, pan would show unread articles and their parent
articles. Now it only shows matched articles. Please correct this.

I have verified this buglet in pan 0.14.2.91 (which is not available in the
list of versions btw.)

Thanks for the bug report. However, the version you are using is no longer maintained.
Please upgrade to the most recent version, and open a new bug if the problem persists.
