Description Christian Rose 2004-02-21 16:27:19 UTC
There are now many translations for Canadian English in GNOME (locale
"en_CA"). It should probably have a corresponding language entry in the gdm
login greeter, and it should probably be named "English (Canadian)" to fit
in with the rest.

The code is string frozen though, so gnome-i18n@gnome.org needs to be
informed if this change is applied.

Now that you bring up language titles in GDM, I feel obligated to
mention the lack of consistency in the list. Perhaps "English,
American," "English, British," "English, Canadian," and so forth would
be more organized and easier to find?

Good work, Adam.

Adding the PATCH keyword.
Comment 5 Christian Rose 2004-02-22 15:08:45 UTC
The first of these patches is affected by the string freeze. Adam,
will you ask for permission for committing the first patch? See
http://developer.gnome.org/dotplan/tasks.html#ApprovingFreezeBreaks
for instructions on that.
