Periodically when I close a window and change desktops quickly via the
gnome workspace switcher metacity will restart.

Thanks for the bug report.  This looks to me like it may be a
duplicate of bug 122016, bug I'm not sure.  I'll leave it for the
maintainers to decide.

yep same crash.  We should really do a release on the stable branch
that incorporates the fix.  Or did we already?  I don't even know any
more.
