Description leo lym 2004-01-31 17:49:32 UTC
Description of Problem:

if i copy a folder via rightmousebutton/copy,
then paste it in the same window via menu/edit/paste
this should (and does) create a copy of that
folder named FOLDERNAME (Copy).

however,
when the preparing-to-paste-window pops up
and i hit cancel, the FOLDERNAME is deleted
(into oblivion -> i can_t even find it in Trash)
whereas FOLDERNAME (Copy) still exists
(which is of course incomplete)

so the original data is lost !!!

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. right click folder and select copy
2. hit menu/edit/paste
3. cancel the paste-in-progress-window that pops up

Actual Results:

original folder is deleted (not even in Trash)

Expected Results:

original folder remains untouched
incomplete copy is deleted

How often does this happen?
allways

Additional Information:
system is debian/sid
nautilus is Gnome-nautilus 2.4.1
