Description Heinrich Rebehn 2004-01-16 10:41:00 UTC
Description of Problem:

If i point nautilus to an automounted dir, say
"/misc/music" then it display its contents, but
after the automounter times out, it just falls
back to my home dir.

Steps to reproduce the problem:

1. Have any automounted directory, i.e.
/misc/music from an NFS server. You can also use
an automounted CDROM.
Use a timeout that you can wait for.
2. Open a nautilus window. Enter "/misc/music" in
the location bar. See "/misc/music"s files in the
window.
3. Wait for the automount timeout to elapse.

Actual Results:
Nautilus jumps back to your home directory.

Expected Results:
Nautilus should stay in /misc/music until you
navigate somewhere else.

How often does this happen?
Every time.

Additional Information:

It seems that the automounter unmounts the
directory because nautilus does not keep it open.
Nautilus should either:
- keep the directory open or
- keep displaying the contents, even if the dir is
unmounted
