Description Bart 2004-01-10 21:48:53 UTC
Currently, the only way to be able to talk with someone in GnomeMeeting
while being able to clearly see yourself is to set the View mode to 'Both
(Local In New Window)' (or the one that loads both in separate window, but
I actually haven't tried that and the viewing a local video inside the
remote video is just too small) which gets quite cumbersome since it forces
you to manage two separate windows on your screen. It'd be great if
GnomeMeeting had an option called 'Both (Side-by-Side)' which would load
both the local and remote videos within one window (i.e. GnomeMeeting's
main window). That way I would be able to talk to someone and see myself
(which I find useful to make sure I haven't moved off-camera) within one
window that I could easily move around my screen. Perhaps by default
GnomeMeeting would make sure that both videos are displayed at the same
height when they're displayed in the same window. And maybe there also
ought to be an option to make them display together horizontally or vertically.

I have added this in CVS, it is available in our daily CVS snapshots packages,
and it will be available in release 1.2.

Thanks for the suggestion!
