Description Nicholas Miell 2004-01-04 05:34:25 UTC
When you click on the title bar of an inactive window, Metacity
occasionally loses the ButtonRelease event and moves the window around
until you click again.

This is new in metacity 2.6.x. On slow machines (i586), it happens just
about every time, on faster machines, it happens very rarely.

Could you test this on metacity HEAD, now please? If you do so,
please try it in both click-to-focus and sloppy focus modes; I'm
wondering if it may be related to grabs that have given us so much
trouble lately.

This sounds like bug 136587 to me, which was fixed in the release of Metacity
2.8.1. I'm pretty sure the two are duplicates. nmiell@comcast.net: Can you
test with Metacity >= 2.8.1 and report back whether this still happens to you?

Oops, forgot to mark as needinfo.

I'll reopen and mark as a duplicate of bug 136587, but let us know if you can
still duplicate this.
