Description djerius 2003-12-27 03:46:35 UTC
I'd like to suggest a couple of enhancements to gthumb.

First, it should be possible to specify an alternate storage location for
the catalogues and captions. As it is, other users can't view my images
with the associated captions, as they are private to ~/.gnome2/gthumb.
Additionally, only one user can work on captions, which in my case is a
real drawback.

It would be very nice to be able to order images in any order I'd like,
without having to rename them. I thought catalogues would do this,
allowing me to create various mixes of photos in various orders, but one is
limited to sorting on various metadata. It'd be nice to have a graphical
list, where one could drag and drop the images to create a specific ordered
lists.

Thanks for a great program!

First of these suggestions seems to be very close to what is suggested
in bug 123533.
The second one is new.

Changing summary to be more descriptive.

Current CVS allows to manually reorder images in catalogs. The first part is
fixed since version 2.6
