GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 127498
Problems with an embedded TrueType font
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
GPDF is having some problems with displaying some of the characters in the file at http://www.peacefulaction.org/sayamindu/glt-les4.pdf . XPDF, on the other hand displays the file fine.
Current gpdf can display the file almost correctly. The e-mail address is rendered in the wrong font. It should be Garamond, which is embedded as a TrueType font file. The text that is set in the Satyajit or Samit (embedded Type 1C) font looks ok.
This works beautifully here- sayamindu, if you could build head (or at least 2.5.2) and describe exactly what fails, I'm sure it would be helpful.
Tried it with HEAD (0.121.99). Problem persists. I am attaching two screenshots.
Created attachment 23137 [details] Rendering by GGV - positions for missing characters are indicated by red dot.
Created attachment 23138 [details] Rendering of the same section by XPDF.
Created attachment 23141 [details] Last attachment was incorrect - this is the correct one (correct rendering of same section of xpdf).
Please test again with a CVS build that includes the Fix for Bug 148362.
Yes - it works. Thanks a lot.
Great, thanks for verifying that it works.
