The new GTK File Chooser needs FreeDesktop shared-mime-info in order to
work effectively - if it's not found all mime types come out as
application/octet-stream, which breaks mime filtering.

(AFAIK, it's not yet an official dependency, though)

Do we want to grab this from tarballs or CVS?  Your patch grabs it
from the tarball, but still lists the CVS root.
