Description W. Michael Petullo 2003-10-20 15:48:38 UTC
This patch allows a user to overlay highlights on a PDF document using a
new highlighting tool. The patch is dependent on the patch submitted in
bug #124673 and is against the gpdf-outlines CVS branch. In order to build
this feature, "./configure --with-highlighting" must be used.

The patch adds a new "Highlight" tool button. When choosen, a user can
click and drag rectangle highlights over a PDF document. These highlights
are stored in a file based on the PDF's hash and are automatically loaded
whenever the PDF is opened. The highlights can be turned off using the
annotations side pane.

Adding the PATCH keyword and also upgrading the priority level to High
because it seems that no one has had a chance to comment on this one.

Very nice.
I have not so much time to have a look at it now, but I'll try after
gnome feature freeze.

Evince seems to be emerging as the standard document viewer and is getting
more attention. I am no longer maintaining this patch.
