Description Jarle Tufto 2003-10-13 13:10:43 UTC
Would it be possible to have each image fade smoothly into the next when
viewing slideshows? I saw this effect in iphoto running on an apple
powerbook and it really looks very cool and pleasant.

Various webpages mentions that opengl is necessary to do this sort of thing...

I'm pretty sure it can also be done with the new composite stuff from xorg. I
think this would be quite a nice long term solution.

Implemented some time ago. See bug 312116.
