Bugzilla-Product: nautilus Bugzilla-Component: File and Folder Operations Bugzilla-Version: 2.4.x BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.4.0.1) Description: Description of the crash: nautilis crashes when trying to use it's samba network interface. Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. Open the samba network part of nautilus (i.e. smb:///) and everything works fine (I can see other computers and read files from then). 2. Close it and try to reopen the network. Expected Results: nautilus crashes. How often does this happen? Everytime on my computer. Thanks for your bug report. Which version of gnome-vfs-extras are you using?
Note that this is a dup of 102785. I'll leave it open here until we get an answer on the gnome-vfs question.
Hi, according to pkgtool, I'm using gnome-vfs-extras-0.99.10 And I'm sorry if I duplicated a bug already reported, I thought I'd looked through them before I sent it but must have missed it.
No worries about the dup, Timothy. Could you try to update to gnome-vfs-extras 0.99.11 and see if the problem persists?
Updated to gnome-vfs-extras-0.99.11 This seems to have made things worse actually. When I open the network folder now there is only one icon "New Server" which doesn't seem to let me add servers. Also, if I try to change directories directly into smb:/// then nautilus crashes outright as before but I don't even have the benifit of having it work once.
