Description Frederic Detienne 2003-09-24 08:01:27 UTC
Description of Problem:
When a drawer is created on an autohide panel,
there are two problems

1) when the panel is made visible, all the drawers
are automatically opened (without mouse hoovering
or clicking). This is not aesthetic. They can be
closed by clicking on the drawer button but that's
not the way the panel should behave.

2) When drawers are open (either through mouse
clicks or "automatically" as above) the icons on
it can not be reached because the panel that
contains the drawer automatically closes when you
leave the main panel area.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. mark a panel as autohide
2. create drawers in it
3. let the panel hide
4. move the mouse over the panel
5. Drawers open (this is bad)
6. try clicking a launcher in the drawer (whole
panel+drawer disappear)

Actual Results:
see above.

Expected Results:
Drawers should not automatically open.
Auto hide panel should stay visible until all
drawers are closed.

How often does this happen?
always

Additional Information:
Running Gentoo Linux. Can provide remote access if
necessary or perform additional tests on request.

The second part (drawers disappear because the panel autohides) is a
dup of bug #121382.
However, first part is another bug. Changing the subject.
Comment 2 Arvind S N 2003-10-20 04:41:31 UTC
Vincent: Second is a dup of bug 124016 and it's fixed in 2.4.1

First is a dup of bug 121382.
