I had troubles to compile rhythmbox-0.5.3 because corba .c/.h files. Not 
sure of the why, but the fix was to remove to force regeneration by 
orbit-idl. See details on this Gentoo bug report:
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28739
It has been suggested there that you simply don't include this files in 
your tarball.
