Description MKosmulski 2003-09-14 18:13:13 UTC
Package: nautilus
Severity: major
Version: GNOME2.2.0 2.2.2
os_details: Gnome.Org
Synopsis: Nautilus crashes when opening a samba share
Bugzilla-Product: nautilus
Bugzilla-Component: Navigation
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.2.0.1)
Description:
Description of Problem:
Nautilus crashed when I typed in an address of a samba share to open.
This happened after I modified my samba configuration (worked ok before
that)

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Type smb://goryl.rivnet/ into the uri edit box and press enter
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Nautilus crashed

Expected Results:
Shouldn't crash :)

How often does this happen?
It's the first time

Additional Information:
below is the section I added to my otherwise standard smb.conf (I am
using samba 2.2.8). After adding this section the bug in nautilus came to light:
        encrypt passwords = Yes
        update encrypted = Yes
        map to guest = Bad Password
        passwd program = /usr/bin/passwd %u
        unix password sync = No
        syslog = 0
        log level = 2
        protocol = NT1
        lanman auth = No
The pc is on a large (ca 600 machines) LAN

Debugging Information:

Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/nautilus'
