Description Javier F. Serrador 2003-08-05 17:05:31 UTC
in src/ephy-window.c:89

The string "S_end To..." should be better "S_end Link to" because it sends
a link, not the page.

The standard File menu in the HIG uses Send To. Maybe a HIG bug needs
opening.

Sent to...
Provides the user a means to attach or send the current document as an
                                               ^^^^^^^^^
email or email attachment, depending on its format.

I understand that it should send the page, not a link to the page.
Maybe it is a good idea to provide both methods. The HIG talks about
it below,

Yep you're right, sorry about that. With the current terminology
"Send Link To" would be fine (although personally i'd prefer
"Email Link" but that breaks consistancy).
Comment 4 Dave Bordoley [Not Reading Bug Mail] 2003-09-01 00:47:30 UTC
Does anyone use this? I have to admit if i'm going to email someone
a link, i usually just cut and paste it. Of course I use webmail
too. :/

Some other browsers use this feature too, so we must remain consistent
with the terminology....
And yes, I use this feature, and a lot of people uses it also.

Sorry for the spam. Reassigning bugs with a target to our next milestone.
Comment 7 Christian Persch 2003-09-20 12:07:10 UTC
Bug 121930 is about whether to retain the "Send To" feature at all, so
marking duplicate and renaming that one.
