GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 117643
Show bookmark properties instead of duplicate warning dialogue
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
If a bookmark exists for a page and the user attempts to add a bookmark for that page, a dialog appears informing the user that he already has this page bookmarked. If the normal "New Bookmark" dialog appeared instead (perhaps with a different name), then the user would be able to add to additional categories or change the title. Perhaps it could make sense to bring up the bookmark properties dialog for the bookmark. That would make the "Add Bookmark" menu item really be "access bookmark properties for this page".
At first I was going to disagree but this is a really cool idea.
Maybe the info dialog should look more like: You already have a bookmark titled Blah for this page. [View Properties] [OK]
I filed bug #138300 without noticing this one...
