bypass transient windows with skip_tasklist property when finding active window in tasklist (6.36 KB, patch)

Description fallsm 2003-07-15 17:03:19 UTC
wnck_tasklist_active_window_changed does not skip windows w/ skip_tasklist
property. This (combined with "raise_trainsients") results in a black hole
when maximizing an application from the taskbar that has transients with
the skip_tasklist property. The transient becomes the active window because
the window associated with the application is not focused and its taskbar
button is not switched on.

This is probably most widely encountered when using XMMS with the playlist
or eq visible, but in general, windows with skip_tasklist set should not
have mysterious side-effects on the tasklist.

Thanks a lot for the patch. Havoc, does this look ok for 2.6.x or 2.7.x?

Moving to the right component. Sorry for the spam.

*sigh* We totally suck. It would have been nice to have had this fix long ago.
I guess that's why I'm trying to look at all the libwnck patches right now,
though... Anyway, there's an alternative patch in bug 310381 to do the same
thing but is much more succinct. I apologize fallsmATivegottheconce.com; you
tried to help out and we fell down on the job.
