Description anthony taranto 2003-06-25 14:36:04 UTC
running metacity-2.4.55, XFree86-4.3.0

i have xinerama with three monitors.

monitor 0 has a size "X Small" edge panel at the bottom
monitor 1 has a "Medium" edge panel at the bottom
monitor 2 has no panel

maximizing a window on monitor 0 works correctly, the bottom edge of the
window is against the top of the panel.

maximizing a window on monitors 1 or 2 sets the bottom of the window to be
"X Small" pixels away from the bottom, so on monitor 1 this results in the
bottom of the window behing under the panel, and on monitor 2, there being
an "X Small" sized gap between the bottom of the window and the bottom of
the screen.

other pertinent info:
monitor 0 is 1280x1024, monitors 1 and 2 are 1024x768. monitors 0-2 are
arranged left to right, with the bottom edges aligned.

This is a combination of a panel bug and a bug in the window manager
specification. Both should be fixed very soon.
