GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 115885
Error when using default zoom level and Zoom In/Zoom out simultanously
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Description of Problem: Steps to reproduce the problem: 1) Open the File Manager/Nautilus by double clicking your Home Icon. 2) From the View menu, select the Zoom Out option. This should reduce the size of the icons in the Nautilus window. 3) From the Edit menu, select the Preferences option. This will open the File Management Preferences dialog box. Make sure the Views tab of the dialog box has been selected. (It should be the default). Nautilus allows the user to select from two viewing modes, the Icon View and List View. This bug is consistent in both modes. However, you will need to know in which mode you are running in order to observe the error. For the sake of this explaination, we will assume the Icon Mode. 4) Under the Icon View Default section of the dialog box, reduce the Default Zoom from 100% to 75%. The icons on the desktop (i.e. Home, Start Here, and Trash) all shrink as expected. However the icons in the Nautilus window actually get bigger. If you increase the Default Zoom from 75% to 400% the results are the opposite. The icons on the desktop get huge, while the icons in the Nautilus window get smaller. Actual Results: Icons sizes are incorrect. Expected Results: Icons should be appropriately sized How often does this happen? Everytime Additional Information: My current environment is as follows, RH9 with the GNOME desktop (Nautilus 2.2.1).
