Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: gnome-panel Severity: blocker Version: 2.0.6 Synopsis: Gnome panel continually crashes Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel Bugzilla-Component: Panel BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.0.3) Description: Description of Problem: The Gnome panel crashes. After the crash the gnome error reporting tool appears. Once the error panel is closed the Gnome panel tries to restart and then crashes again. The problem may be a result of using a KVM (Belkin Omni View SE 2-port) in conjunction with a Windows and Linux box. When switching to the windows box from Linux, Windows behaves ok. Use a KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) switch with Linux and Windows on seperate hosts. 2. Switch from the Linux System to the Windows and then back. The mouse will be hosed. 3. Reboot the Linux system from a Terminal Actual Results: Expected Results: How often does this happen? At least once:-) Additional Information: Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnome-panel' (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)...[New Thread 8192 (LWP 985)] 0x420ae169 in wait4 () from /lib/i686/libc.so.6
