Problems are :

1. The workspace size (width) in the applets-workspace-switcher is not proportional with real workplace size.

2. The right side of the "Workspace Switcher Preferences" window is not different for each screen. If I set 6 workspaces for secondary screen, I will have the same number of workspace on other screen. In the same way, if I set workspaces names for primary screen. these names will be reported to workspaces of othe screen.
In one word, these settings are not independant for each head.

3. The Netscape icons are viewable on applets-workspace-switcher of primary screen, but not on secondary.

Screenshots of my two display are attached to this bug

With problem (3), with different depths, it falls back to the default
icon on the second head for netscape.

cc'ing Havoc for his comments on (1) and (2)

Comment 4 Havoc Pennington 2003-03-19 16:56:21 UTC
1. I don't know, doesn't sound related to multihead to me,
if it's a problem.

2. This is a metacity issue, it would need separate gconf keys
for each screen.
Comment 5 Arvind S N 2003-03-29 07:56:33 UTC
Created bug #109480 for issues (1) & (2).
The scope of this bug would be the ability to have different
configurations of the pager on each head.
Comment 6 Arvind S N 2003-03-29 07:59:37 UTC
Changing the summary appropriately.

Remove old target milestones on old bugs; sorry for the spam.
Comment 8 Georg Spazierer 2005-12-13 10:06:43 UTC
I use a Multihead-Clone-XServer-Layout and am also facing troubles with the
workspace-switcher.

- First of all, I couldn't find a way to configure the switcher different on
each screen.

- Secondly I noticed that switching workspaces using CTRL-ALT-Left/Right does
only work properly on the primary screen.
Comment 9 Elijah Newren 2005-12-22 04:44:02 UTC
Georg: The first issue you mention is the one this bug is about (at least, according to comment 5), and is a duplicate of bug 91797. The second issue you mention is a duplicate of bug 319423 which now has a patch to fix the problem.

Anyway, this is a duplicate so I'm marking as such.
