GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 108400
Lack of desktop integration
Last modified: 2006-09-29 15:54:30 UTC
To be properly compliant with the HIG, we need to install ourselves in the Application menu, and associate ourselves with XML files in the MIME database (see the HIG!)
Due the file data/conglomerate.desktop.in, we are in the application menu. IIRC gnumeric has MIME bindings, look into it for inspiration.
Created attachment 21729 [details] [review] This puts conglomerate and only conglomerate in the application list for xml, dtd, xds.
Patch is applied. Thanks!
So does this work now properly, with GNOME's new MIME system?
I guess you have to put the mime types the app handles into the .desktop file these days and run update-desktop-database after installing. Right?
I guess you could be right ;-) And to stop the guessing, any pointers with further information?
geert, looks like a duplicate of bug 151845 to me. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 151845 ***
