GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 107786
Add ReplayGain support
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
It would be neat if rhythmbox supported ReplayGain to allow leveling out the sound volume of ogg/mp3 files. See http://www.replaygain.org/ This is going to be in the next version of XMMS.
Sounds reasonable, marking as enhancement.

Example implementation: http://mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/mplayer-dev-eng/2002-November/012908.html Both the xine-lib backend and the GStreamer backend need to implement that. We also need some way of editing the volume info in the files.
This patch add replaygain support in rb : I don't know what is the purpose of the rythmdb-legacy.c so I didn't touch it. I hope it works ...
