GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 106982
Save confirmation alert figure 3.18 is confusing
Last modified: 2020-12-04 18:20:23 UTC
In the section Windows->Alerts->Confirmation Alerts->Save Confirmation Alerts, Figure 3.18 is a little confusing. In the text, it says to use "If you close without saving, changes from the last Time Period will be discarded" for the secondary text. In the picture, it uses "If you close without saving, changes from the past Time Period will be discarded." The difference is that in the text, the word last is used; in the figure, the word past is used. I only bring up this minor discrepency because this section seems to try to nail down the wording pretty tightly and specifically. Also, the dialog shows the "Close without saving" and the "Cancel" buttons with the "C" mnemonic. Is that acceptable?
Both fixed in CVS.
Both these issues are still present in HIG 2.0 and HIG CVS, although the figure is now 3.17. I'm reopening this bug.
Hmm, it appears that calum did fix this issue like he said: http://cvs.gnome.org/viewcvs/web-devel-2/content/projects/gup/hig/images/save_alert.png?rev=1.8&view=markup However Mr. Nickell reverted us in this one: http://cvs.gnome.org/viewcvs/web-devel-2/content/projects/gup/hig/images/save_alert.png?rev=1.9&view=markup I'm closing this bug as it was fixed and I think we can continue with the issue from bug 162947
