Package: gnome-panel Severity: normal Version: 2.0.6 Synopsis: Gnome-Panel crashes on login Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel Bugzilla-Component: Panel BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.0.3) Description: Description of Problem: On login the panel crashed. Before this happens, I kept receiving a message saying another instance of the panel was running. This is after a clean reboot. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Log in. 2. 3. Actual Results: Gnome-Panel crashed and I get Bug Buddy popping up. Expected Results: I get to login and do something useful. How often does this happen? Everytime. Additional Information: The machine I'm on only has 64 MB of RAM. It is also being run as a remote X session on an OS X machine using X Darwin. It worked in the past, but no longer. RedHat 8.0 is the distro. You are a victim of the infamous vertical panel crasher bug. Havoc wrote a comment about where to get new fixed packages in bug 94625.
