It seems that all these bugs are getting triggered in the bluecurve_rc_style_register_type() function. As this is a 3rd party theme, I am marking this bug as NOTGNOME. You can report bugs in bluecurve at: http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/ Use the "redhat-artwork" component. If you run into the same issues using the standard theme (on stock GNOME systems, it is called "Normal". On RH8 systems, it is "Raleigh"), then reopen this bug. I am also reassigning this bug to "gtk+". If it is a Gnome bug and is occuring in many apps, then this is probably where the problem is. The "general" product is almost always the wrong choice.

Havoc, I couldn't find a corresponding bug on bugzilla.redhat.com, thus I'm adding my comment here and CC you... The problem here is that we made statusbars flip in rtl mode. This has the consequence that theme engines must handle all edges (well, at least SE and SW) in paint_resize_grip() now. Apparently, bluecurve doesn't do that.
I filed http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104589, thanks.

Kjartan: I don't see how the last two are duplicates of this bug. I didn't see any similar functions in the stack traces at all (unless I'm blind and just missed them, which is entirely possible). Wouldn't bug 105745 or bug 107498 be a better bug to mark those as duplicates of? Of course, Owen told me in 105745 that bugs like the one you marked above might not really be duplicates, just strange gtk and gdk crashers.
