GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 104420
seahorse crashes on startup
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: seahorse Severity: normal Version: 0.4.4 Synopsis: seahorse crashes on startup Bugzilla-Product: seahorse Bugzilla-Component: general BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.0.3) Description: Description of Problem: I installed gnupg 1.2.1-1 and gpgme-0.3.14 after building the rpms from the srpms myself. I did this both on my desktop machine and laptop machine. Both are running redhat 8.0, with fairly standard setups. I then installed seahorse2-0.4.4-1.i386.rpm. However, when I try to run seahorse, it immediately brings up the crash dialog on both systems. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Build and install rpms of gnupg 1.2.1-1 and gpgme-0.3.14. 2. Install seahorse2-0.4.4-1.i386.rpm downloaded from seahorse website. 3. Run /usr/bin/seahorse Actual Results: Crash dialog immediately appears; program doesn't run. Expected Results: Program should run without crashing. How often does this happen? Every time I try to run the program. Both times I've tried the build and install steps listed above (on my desktop system and on my laptop system.) Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/seahorse' (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)...[New Thread 8192 (LWP 15824)] 0x420ae169 in wait4 () from /lib/i686/libc.so.6
