I have a report which fits on one page, but print transaction report will
also print 2 blank pages after the first page
(test by printing to file)

The reports are displayed and printed through gnome1's gtkhtml
library. That library has various problems, the first ones mentioned
in bug #84707 . Unfortunately we can't really do anything about this
as long as the reports are displayed by the gtkhtml library, and a
change won't happen until a gnome2 port is completed. This may or may
not happen sometime this year.
