Description Calum Benson 2003-01-23 15:54:01 UTC
The mnemonics for Hex, Hyp, Eng and Fix currently clash with those for the
File, Edit and Help menus, and indeed with each other. This isn't
disastrous, but it's better if menu title mnemonics in particular are
unique within a given window.

(Given that File, Edit and Help generally have standard cross-app mnemonics
though, it's probably the mnemonics for the radio/checkbuttons we need to
come up with alternatives for here).
Comment 1 Rich Burridge 2003-01-23 16:27:16 UTC
Calum, can you suggest alternatives here please?
I spent quite a while trying to come up with uniqueness
here using the characters in each label.
Comment 2 Calum Benson 2003-01-28 17:35:32 UTC
Hmm, okay, the best I can manage without disturbing or duplicating the
menu titles is:

Bin, _Oct, _Dec, He_x,
E_ng, F_ix, S_ci,
De_g, Gr_a, _Rad,
H_yp, _Inv

which only duplicates Alt+I (Inv and Fix). I think that's pretty
acceptable.
Comment 3 Calum Benson 2003-01-28 18:51:34 UTC
Even better solution: change the menu name to _Calculator, and then
use _S for Sci in the scheme above instead of _C. That frees up F for
_Fix, and I think we're sorted with no duplication...

Fixed per the last two comments from Calum (thanks!).
Fixed in v4.2.43 of gcalctool.
