Description Carsten Menke 2003-01-06 01:54:48 UTC
Since Gnome-2.1.1 I noticed that GConf installes the directories (though
just empty) gconf.xml.defaults and gconf.xml.mandatory directly under the
Root Directory ( / ).

I first remarked this in version Gnome-2.1.1 built with Garnome-18.3 and
options:

-prefix=/opt/gnome2 --sysconfdir=/etc/gnome2 --localstatedir=/var

However it installs the directories also under /etc/gnome2/gconf/,
and everyting seems to work well. So a temporarly workaround was,to just
remove the directories.

Last checked with Gnome-2.1.5 build with Garnome 0.19.5 and same options as
above
